YOUR LETTER ZIONTHANTH JULY NOTED PRETRKHING YOURSKLY SUBSTITUTE SMITH DO YOUR BEST.

Table Censors Kemarka, 77 QUEEN'S ROAD CENTRAL HONGKONG

As there is a name Kristiania on the Black List and as commercial telegrams addressed to Hotels are suspicious sender was asked to call and bring with him the letter of the 18th July. The letter was suspicious. It referred to "Mutual friends" and, carefully omitting names, indicated that business formerly done with some other firm should be transferred to Bromley at the Grand Hotel, Kristiania. There was a reference to the closing of an unnamed firm in the City Road London by the Government.

Sender was asked to obtain the name of Smith and the "mutual Friend" from his manager. Further particulars as to the identity of Smith were not mentioned. He has failed to do so.

Secretary to the Commodore, For the Commodore's information.
